Nursery
The chief goal of the nursery year is to ensure that your child is physically, mentally, and emotionally equipped for the kindergarten years. This part of a child’s education focuses on skills that are so natural to us now that we don’t even remember learning them, such as grasping a pencil, making simple shapes, physical balance, bathroom skills, and impulse control. These simple things are difficult for the child to learn and remember at first. It takes a great deal of patience and experience to make this an emotionally easy time for the child. Our highly trained and experienced staff is especially good at making the children feel comfortable and happy while they learn these highly important basic life skills.
By age 3, the brain is ready to absorb new experiences. Our curriculum is shaped to invoke the joy of learning, while encouraging the child to explore their full potential. Keeping in mind the fun element, a host of skills are introduced to the children. Among them, an understanding of numbers, letters, shapes and colours, introduction to music and movement, outdoor sports, as well as creative play. Their fine motor skills are honed and an awareness of their body and bodily functions is imbibed at this stage. Specially designed activities that provide a multi-sensory experience form an important part of our curriculum.
